EASTSIDE DORMER ADDITION
Tragically, a WWII death forced a combination of families and conversion of a 1926 Kirkland Tudor icon into a duplex. The original interior stair was sealed, creating a tiny upstairs 2nd kitchen, which necessitated the addition of a scary exterior stair. This renovation returned over 700sf of “found” living space. The space included the addition of a Master Bedroom/Bath, Guest Bedroom/Bath, Laundry, Den and a new Dormer with spectacular views without adding to the home footprint. All fixtures and finishes were carefully selected to be “in the period” resulting in the restoration of a jewel.

NORTHEND ADDITION |
This Northend family's home was originally created with a sun room off the front of the house. This space was akward and rarely used. Their solution to more living space, was to remove the window wall and create a larger living room. The house was given all new siding and paint and maintained the lightness of the sun room without the unusable space challenge. |
